Advantec has become a partner in a PNCDI-II national consortium project: "Integrated system for real time assistance of surgical act by three-dimmensional reconstruction of imaging and syncronisation of rendering by vocal commands-SIATRACH" together with University of Medicine and Pharmacy Carol Davila, Politehnica University of Bucharest, Clinical Emergency Bagdasar-Arseni Hospital and Neuron SRL.

Advantec creates first prototype for an innovative medical imaging software, insightViewer, with a module dedicated to virtual endoscopy.

Advantec is now an official distributor for the Japanese electromagnetic analysis suite 'EMSolution', produced by SSIL, Inc., Japan (Japanese link). SSIL offers a complete professional version (including deformation, dynamic, network, steady current features), as well as separate modules for simulations in static, AC, transient, and motion regimes. EMSolution is the most popular Japanese application for professional electromagnetic analysis in industrial design and optimization, and one of the most powerful of its kind in the world. Advantec has become a partner in 3 national academic/industry consortiums in the frame of the national excellence research program (CEEX, 2006). The topics are related to: efficient modeling of magnetic hysteresis, computer based diagnostic radiology, and advanced materials for electromagnetic (microwave) screening.
